En 1939, Hitler a été nominé pour le prix Nobel de la paix, avec, tenez-vous bien.... Gandhi. Et au final, aucun des deux ne l'a eu, puisqu'il n'a pas été attribué cette année là.



Et il n'est pas le seul, Staline a été nominé deux fois en 45 et 48, Mussolini en 1935

Joseph Stalin, the Secretary General of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (1922-1953), was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 and 1948 for his efforts to end World War II.

Mahatma Gandhi, one of the strongest symbols of non-violence in the 20th century, was nominated in 1937, 1938, 1939, 1947 and, finally, shortly before he was assassinated in January 1948. Although Gandhi was not awarded the Prize (a posthumous award is not allowed by the statutes), the Norwegian Nobel Committee decided to make no award that year on the grounds that "there was no suitable living candidate".

Adolf Hitler was nominated once in 1939. Incredulous though it may seem today, the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1939, by a member of the Swedish parliament, an E.G.C. Brandt. Apparently though, Brandt never intended the nomination to be taken seriously. Brandt was to all intents and purposes a dedicated antifascist, and had intended this nomination more as a satiric criticism of the current political debate in Sweden. (At the time, a number of Swedish parliamentarians had nominated then British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlin for the Nobel Peace Prize, a nomination which Brandt viewed with great skepticism. ) However, Brandt's satirical intentions were not well received at all and the nomination was swiftly withdrawn in a letter dated 1 February 1939.

Ghandi le mériterait.

Hitler, tout à fait incroyable, même scandaleux.

Dans un sens, une fois qu'il n'y a plus personne sur Terre, c'est la paix totale. 

Mais oui c'est scandaleux.

Quel génie.

Je ne sais pas qui va être l'heureux élu.Il semble que la jeune fille choisie l'an dernier n'a pas fait l'unanimité et surtout ne correspondait pas tout à fait aux critères de mr Nobel.

Ne pas oublier que pour Hitler  c'était nous allons dire juste del'ironie  de la part  d' Erik Brandt qui cherchait à montrer l’absurdité du fonctionnement de cette récompense.Outré par la possibilité qu’on accorde le prix au Premier ministre britannique Neville Chamberlain, au lendemain des accords de Munich, il avait proposé le nom d’Hitler dans une lettre au ton très ironique. Sitôt son initiative connue, il la retira par un courrier daté du 1er février 1939. Une provocation restée dans l’Histoire.

Chamberlain ne le méritait pas plus pour s'être déculotté avec Daladier devant Hitler. Churchill avait dit :entre la guerre et le déshonneur vous avez choisi le déshonneur, vous aurez le déshonneur et la guerre. Pour le prix Nobel ,Obama l'a obtenu sans rien faire.
